Pavers require very little maintainence. Once installed correctly by professional installers, a paver project should provide decades of use with little to no maintainence, aside from the occasional cleaning with a broom or garden hose.Q: How do you install the pavers? A: We start by determining the size and layout of the project with the homeowner. Then the project area is excavated and a solid, compacted base material from 4″-8″ thick is laid down. On top of the compacted base, we lay down a layer of sand 1″-1.5″ thick, which is screeded smooth and provides a level surface to lay the pavers. Once all the pavers are laid and the edge restraints are in place, the pavers are compacted into the sand with a plate compactor. Then a layer of sand is spread across the pavers to fill the joints, and once again compacted.
