Is there a Letter of Intent (LOI) required for the Grant-in-Aid program?

0

A. A Letter of Intent is not required for the Grant-in-Aid program, except for certain applications to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario (HSFO). HSFO’s policy provides for a maximum level of annual funding of $250,000 per grant. Grant applications with total budget requests exceeding this level may be considered for shared funding with other granting agencies. If the Grant-in-Aid application you are preparing for HSFO is requesting annual funding above HSFO’s maximum level, or if the proposal includes shared funding with other granting agencies, it is necessary to contact HSFO and submit a Letter of Intent to be received by July 15. Further details are available in HSFO’s supplemental guidelines.
