Is there a label printer that doesn use label rolls?
Label printing of any kind can easily be done with Word or Word Perfect and just about any printer. Laser printers work particularly well. Many labels are automatically set up by most word processors. Just click on the label or letter icon in the tool bar, or use Setup in the printer screen. If you have many labels of the same size to print a dot matrix or ink jet printer with tractor feed can also work. These are boxed labels, not rolls. You can, for example, set up an entire data base to print directly to the printer. Most data bases, from d Base to Access to Lotus Approach have setup screens for label printing. It’s one of the things business does on a regular basis. Single labels can be feed just like envelopes. Very good lasers, like the Lexmark, will handle sheets of labels just as easily as they handle any kind of paper. Sources: Print labels on any standard printer.
