I really wish a production of ancient rome would use Latin. This goes for most Hollywood or British portrayals of other cultures, I wish they’d use native languages and not dub the dialogue in English, you lose authenticity. A: Hi, I am afraid that there are quite few such works exist, and the ones I found are not quite related to Rome. One of them is a series of short films on certain antique and early medieval topics (see more at http://www.lingua.co.uk/latin/films/ ). Then there is Mel Gibson’s memorable movie (The Passion of the Christ) where the Roman characters speak in Latin. IMDB has a database of movies with Latin dialogues (http://www.imdb.com/List?language=Latin&&tv=on&&heading=10;Latin&&nav=/Sections/Languages/Latin/include-titles) , but I am a little concerned when seeing e. g. Van Helsing or a Fistful of Kung Fu (???) on the list.
