I don’t see why not, something could be built to detect EM spikes, and thus lightning strikes. If I recall correctly, some equipment used to search for ghosts is merely repurposed EM field testing equipment. Be advised, if you can find something of this nature, the demand is probably so low it will be horribly expensive.
