Is there a greater margin for single-family homes, as opposed to townhouses?
Mr. Pino: Yes, its a greater margin. But you sell fewer units. Right now, we are in a good position, having purchased more than 2,000 lots. Our margins should be very good for 2001. TWST: How is the competition, and what differentiates Century from your competitors? Mr. Pino: It took a total team commitment to turn things around this past year. Our Board of Directors believes and I agree that everyone who works at Century should have a vested interest. So earlier this year every employee was provided with 100 shares of Century stock. Now theres an added incentive for them to work a little harder to see that the job gets done. Its important that our employees take pride in what they accomplish. Century currently is the second largest builder in Miami-Dade County. Of course, our goal is to one day soon become the number one builder. But that will only happen if everyone works together.
