Is there a good yacht charter for the Greek islands?
Before you charter your yacht, I recommend you to think carefully about where you want to sail. As The poster Jason said, the Sporades is a good deal and the winds are not so bad there but no marinas. Skopelos has a good port. Skiathos a very small one. If you are thinking about sailing in the Cyclades, keep in mind that the Meltemi wind is blowing there very strongly and that you often can’t sail. When there is no Meltemi, there is no wind, then you have to go by motor. The Cyclades are very beautiful but they are hell for sailors. There are no marinas and sometimes the ports are way out of town. The port in Santorini is the best nightmare. It is difficult finding water. Mykonos has a very nice port for all the Luxury Cruises, it is right next to the port for sailing yachts but the facilities cannot be used by yacht owners.
