It would be helpful to know what type of flies we’re discussing (house flies, stable flies, horse flies-etc) But I’ll start with answer with some practical information on how to detract them from your door, and reduce the overall popultaion: • Clean up trash…are your garbage cans clean and inside or dirty and breeding grounds for maggots? • Eliminate any feces in your yard (dog/cat) and puddles where the flies will breed • Trap flies in other sunny locations of your yard to deter them from resting on your sunny screen door • Bounce fabric sheets…try to attach them to your screen door (this repels flies and mosquitos) • Spray your screen with: a 1/2 white vinegar, 1/2 water solution at the beginning of each day to deter flies from landing on it • Welcome insect eating birds to your yard (purple martins) • Plant BASIL near your front door, and you’ll keep flies away naturally & have a delicious herb to add to your pizza, chicken, spaghetti, and more. My favorite thing to do is go see
