No. The Inspiron 530 uses a BTX motherboard and case. Gigabyte boards available from retailers will be ATX or micro-ATX, these are completely different. You’re looking at a rebuild from scratch: case case fan(s) PSU motherboard processor Memory will transfer, but watch out for compatibility issues with both mobo and CPU. Optical drive will transfer, but if it’s IDE – ensure mobo has an IDE socket. Hard drive will transfer, but the operating system may not – it’s probably a Dell OEM licence. Try it, but you may need to buy another copy of Windows (your own OEM copy). The integrated sound and video won’t transfer, obviously – but if you’ve added a discrete sound card or graphics card… Actually graphics… if it’s an AGP slot and you have a card, bin it.
