Is there a genetic component to anaphylactic food allergies?

From what I’ve read, there isn’t a genetic component to Food Allergies. It’s mostly environmental. I also knew someone who developed a severe allergy to Berries even though she had been eating them fine her whole life, so that suggests that something beyond the genetic level occurs.

Anyone with a previous history of anaphylactic reactions is at risk for having another severe reaction. Also at risk are those with a personal or family history of allergic conditions, such as asthma, eczema, or hayfever. Individuals who have asthma in addition to food allergies may be at increased risk for having a life-threatening anaphylactic reaction to food.
