The topical heartworm preventives for dogs…such as revolution for dogs are not effective when it comes to the heartworm preventive/ intestinal parasite coverage. You are more likely to have your pet have problems with parasites/ heartworms on these prodcuts because of the amount of grooming, bathing that most dogs go through…because it is NOT waterproof, like frontline is. If you want an all in one flea/ heartworm preventive/ intestinal parasite coverage…try sentinel. It’s a pill that you give them once a month. Good product, great parasite coverage- downside is: the flea control product is NOT an ADULTICIDE….so it will not kill fleas. It simply makes fleas unable to reproduce…so it is good for enviorments that do not have an established flea problem. Topical frontline and either heartgard or intercepter are the best combinations.
