Amherst residents (verified by displaying an Amherst Dump Sticker) may deposit furniture, carpeting and mattresses free of charge at the Transfer Station. The attendant at the scale house will direct you to the appropriate compactor(s). Metal framework must be removed from sleeper couches and disposed of separately.
