Is there a districtwide policy on the qualifications required of parents to volunteer in our child’s classrooms?
Anyone wishing to volunteer in any capacity in an RISD school must first agree to undergo a criminal background check, which is reviewed by the district’s Human Resources department before clearance can be granted. Parent volunteers are used in a wide variety of capacities in RISD schools, depending on their preferences, abilities and needs of the campus.
