The Prius integration experiment involved a literal replacement of the existing NiMH battery by our lithium-ion battery, without any other adjustments. The result yielded the equivalent of 77.4 mpg. Further improvements could be expected with the ability to modify the vehicle. The necessary adaptations have not been attempted by EnerDel but are possible in collaboration with the vehicle manufacturer.
