Is there a difference in how students and faculty members perceive and use social networking sites?
Very much. Students have migrated to it as a natural social gathering place, and they’re very comfortable there. Faculty see it as something that the students do, but that’s not necessarily for faculty interests. One of the things we’re trying to get them to see is that this is a very interesting and exciting place where learning can take place.
