Is there a difference in flavor of long grain rice and medium grain?
Actually, theoretically, the smaller the grain, the bigger the flavor. This is just pure physics. But most wouldn’t notice the difference. The biggest difference is in the texture. Long grain will be fluffier. The shorter the grain, the stickier. Sushi rice is short grain. It is meant to be sticky. If you really don’t like it, use it up by mixing a little bit with your long grain when you cook it.
