Is there a difference between the information that will be available through the OSI website and the datalink portal?
Yes. The OSI website provides access to publicly available Alberta Official Statistics in the form of published fact sheets. The datalink portal provides access to data and information classified under the Government of Alberta Information Security Classification Guidelines as requiring secure access. Authorization and authentication is based on Government of Alberta protocols using the Alberta Secure Access System (ASAS) and the Active Directory Services (ADS). Authorization to access information products is defined by the classification of the information product and by permissions given to the user.
