Is there a difference between regular lotion and facial moisturizer?

0

Yes. Things are designed for the face for a reason. First, the skin on our face is different from the skin on our hands and body. Just like the skin under our eyes is different and requires a different cream (See FAQ #3 below). Second, many facial moisturizers have extra ingredients to handle special situations, like Retin-A, sunscreen, alpha hydroxy, etc. Third, body lotion ingredients can clog the sensitive pores on your face. The skin on your face is sensitive to ingredients in certain products that can cause breakouts or rashes. Body/hand lotion is meant to go on areas not breakout prone.
