Is there a difference between indie and alternative music?
To me, those words don’t mean anything anymore. Alternative used to mean an alternative to the mainstream and indie used to mean the artist was on an independent label. Now they are just marketing terms used by people in the industry so that people will buy music and be able claim they don’t to listen to ‘mainstream’.
