Is there a difference between D&G and Dolce and Gabbana?
D&G is not the same as Dolce & Gabbana. They ARE different. Dolce & Gabbana is the label that was founded by Mr Dolce and Mr Gabbana back in the 80s (I think) and it has its own separate entity. It caters for celebrities and socialites as such and is known for its romantic/seductive edge. Clients include Dita Von Teese, Eva Herzigova, Naomi Campbell etc. D&G is a diffusion line that was started later on by the same founders as another asset. However it is also a separate entity from the main line and employs different people (apart from the 2 designers of course). It’s a less serious label than the main line. It has a more charming/flirty appeal to it making it favourable for the younger generation clients such as kids with really rich parents. The glasses that you found were very well categorized under their appropriate company. D&G is in fact different from Dolce & Gabbana.
