Is there a difference between club tennis and intramural tennis?

0

Yes. Intramural tennis is organized as a tournament and run by the Columbia University Intramural Sports Program. Players schedule their own matches and play on Columbia’s Morningside campus courts, the ones by Pupin. Club tennis is totally different. We are loosely affiliated with the intramural office, where sign-ups take place, but we are NOT run by Columbia Intramurals. We hold practices multiple times a week up at the Dick Savitt Center. The Savitt Center is Columbia’s own indoor tennis facility and is located west of Broadway on 218th street, near Baker Field. We compete amongst ourselves and against other schools. We also sponsor various club events.
