Is there a difference between Austism, and Autistic Spectrum Disorder?

0

Autistic Spectrum Disorder covers many disorders one of which is ‘general autism’ this also covers a huge range of severities from very mild ( which can often go undetected) to moderate (which can stand in the way of some development) to severe autism ( which is the most serious form which generally means the child has very little response to anything going on around them- or atleast appears not to). Within the autistic spectrum there are a whole range of other disorders such as dispraxia, dyslexia, retts syndrome etc etc and just the same as autism these conditions range in severity too.
