Is there a difference between alligators and crocodiles?
Yes. There are differences in the jaw, head, teeth, and general shape and colour. The main difference is a wider snout. An alligator has an extremely strong jaw, which can literally bite a car in half. A crocodile can still bite animals/humans into pieces, though. Alligators are only native to China and the United States. Crocodiles, on the other hand, can be found in Asia, The Americas, Australia and Africa.
