Hi, Here is what to be careful of… There are 2 basic types of desktop DDR memory today; DDR and DDR2 (DDR II) and they are NOT interchangeable. The second thing to be careful of is the speed. In this case the speed referenced is 667 MHz. The spec: PC2-5300 means that its DDR2 and the 5300 is another way of saying 667MHz. So, DDR 2 memory at 667MHz is the same as saying PC2-5300 memory. There ‘is’ compatability between different speeds of DDR 2 memory but I always recommend using the memory that the vendor (Lenovo) specifies for the particular machine. This avoids support and/or warranty issues. Here are a couple of links to some memory vendors.
