Both devices transfer the digital signals of the satellite to signals legible by the computer. The PCI-card is installed into the computer while the USB-box is specially designed for usage with a notebook. Please not that the USB-box has a limited bandwidth of 4,000 kbps because of the interface. (This is still 33 times faster then the ordinary ISDN.
