Is there a demand among mainstream America for battery-operated mascara, and which company will win the battle?
No, I don’t think many women would use battery-operated mascara. Women are very particular about how they apply mascara. It can be very difficult to apply it without it clumping. No standard battery-operated mechanism would work for every woman since we all prefer our own unique techniques. I don’t think many women would buy it, so if I worked for a cosmetic company, I would encourage my executives not to pursue research and development of a battery-operated mascara bottle.
