Steve Powell: I think if you look at any sport there’s going to be a number of images that are fairly obvious, and each generation of photographers come along and obviously have to re-create the same images again just to prove that they can. Yes, it happens and every sport has its obvious images that express what the sport is etc.. I don’t think it’s a particularly bad or dangerous thing, you know, the thing about sport it renews constantly. There are always new stars, there are always new players, new athletes and as such to be honest you know if it was a great picture with Bjorn Borg at Wimbledon, and then 20 years later it’s still going to be a great picture with another winner.
