Is there a danger to cards with magnetic strips?
Magnetic cards come in two different varieties, high and low coercivity. Credit cards (high coercivity) are absolutely at no risk due to the low gauss produced by the magnets in the Powermat Receivers and Mats. Low coercivity cards, like hotel keys, may be impacted, so it’s a good idea to keep those away from ANY magnets, including the ones in your Powermat Receiver and Mat.
