Is there a Dal Tennis Team? Can I play matches against other universities?
There is no official Tennis team at Dalhousie University. There are no known tennis clubs at other Nova Scotian universities besides Dalhousie. Tennis is not a Varsity Sport–or even a club level university sport governed by a legal body–in Atlantic Canadian universities. However, depending on the skill level of the members and the amount of interest in forming a team, the Dal Tennis Council may work towards entering a team in local tournaments, and perhaps, with time, in out of province tournaments/conferences. We do, however, plan to host the Dalhousie Open Tennis Tournament towards the middle or end of the fall term. Tennis enthusiasts from other universities will be invited to this tournament.
