Is there a cost involved in learning the Easy Quran Course ?
The current cost of the Easy Qur’an Course for 2007 is a nominal Rs 500/- for a 100 hours course. This translates to a cost only Rs 5/- per hour. People pay over Rs 200/- per hour for worldly courses even for the ones of elementary level like maths and science in school. It is common to find people paying more than this as a months fee for nurseries and schools for children. The Course material costs will be separate. The Islamic Information Center is a non-profit organisation and we only seek to cover a part of the costs involved. The costs involved are: 100 hours of instructor led teaching, followed by an examination and certification. Currently even after charging a nominal fee we are not even covering our costs in teaching this course and are depending partially on voluntary supporters. In addition, we usually only give value to things that we have a financial commitment towards.
