Is there a correlation between soil acidity and nitrogen content of the soil ?
There is no correlation between soil acidity (pH) and N content. However, there is a correlation between amount of N applied in previous years and soil pH as fertilizer N is one of the main acidifying agents in soils. Limestone is the material used to raise soil pH. This product is readily available in most areas where corn is grown in the US.
