Is There A Correlation Between Schizophrenia and the Vitamin Folate?

Can folate levels be used to predict the intensity of schizophrenia and can supplementation be used as an intervention? Dr. Goff will share findings are from a study in progress. The scientists are featured speakers at the second annual Boston Mental Health Symposium sponsored by the Sidney R. Baer, Jr. Foundation and NARSAD: The Mental Health Research Association. Since giving its first grants for psychiatric research in 1987, NARSAD has supported the work of 2,477 scientists in the United States and 25 other countries. Nearly one in 10 of those scientists has been based at Boston-area universities and medical centers.
