Is there a correlation between church attendance & happiness?
I do not know. Personally, I feel better after attending church. But it is not because of socializing with others. It is not because I may get some coffee to drink at church. It is not because of the music. It is because of my walk with God. A church is a building. But really, WE are the church. People are really the church. I am happy today. My relationship with Christ has led me to become more happy than I was in the past, before I was close to God. You aren’t promised a rose garden in life. There are no guarantees. You will still have bad things happen to you if you become a Christian. But the great thing about having a relationship with Jesus is that he often helps you in times of distress. I am not always happy- by no means. But sometimes, the Holy Spirit makes me feel very joyful. It has nothing to do with church. It has everything to do with having a close walk with the Lord.
