Hi azzammo2001, If you are setting up wireless chances are what you are buying is a wireless router. In that case leave your current modem plugged into the wall and plug the Ethernet cable from it to your router. If you buy a combination Modem / Router (I don’t like or recommend them) it will have a coaxial input for your cable. What you really need from your description is a wireless router. Look at something like a Linksys WRT54G. It is a good wireless router you can buy for less then $50 almost anywhere – Best Buy, Circuit City, Walmart etc. You then use your existing modem.
