Is There a Connection Between Autism and Gastrointestinal Problems? But as soon as you enter the autism world, you start hearing about feeding problems, pooping problems, sleep problems, sensory problems, and much more. Are parents just imagining things – or are these additional issues for real? To begin to better understand the relationship between autism and other physical issues, I’ve started tracking down some of the more prominent researchers in the field. Dr. Cynthia Molloy, at the University of Cincinnatti, has received research grants from Cure Autism Now and other well-respected organizations – and she has looked deeply into the relationship between autism and gastr
