Look up ODBII. Depending on the age of your vehicle, there should be an ODBII connector under the dash somewhere. You can get the cable & software on ebay, all you need then is a laptop. What can be done depends on the software and your truck. Most OSBII softare can view engine performance data, show many sensor readings & graph & store it. Also they will show you the engine codes. Some software can change settings. You would need to look at the software’s capabilities.
