I’m not aware of any such comparison, but that doesn’t surprise me as they are three different types of things. RUP is a defined process set, CMMI is a reference model for describing software engineering and software project management processes and activities, and ISO 9001:2000 is a general quality management standard. There are certainly synergies between the three products, and there are numerous papers available which describe how to use RUP to help achieve CMMI compliance, as well as papers highlighting the mapping between CMMI and ISO 9001:2000. Try running a Google search on “CMMI ISO 9001” or “CMMI RUP” and you’ll find useful references. There are specific papers published on the SEI site highlighted below. I’m assuming that you’re attempting to improve your software engineering environment, in which case you should really be thinking about using a variety of models, standards and methods which you should be integrating into your existing process environment, rather than trying
