While there is no fee for processing the transfer of your number, Nextel customers are assessed a monthly Federal Programs Cost Recovery fee of $1.55 per month fee (or $2.83 in some markets). The FPCR is not a tax or government required charge. The fee is charged for one or more of the following: E911, number pooling and Wireless Local Number Portability.
