Is there a bus service from Schoenefeld airport into the centre of Berlin?

yes. I found Berlin Schönefeld a bit of a pain. It can tke you up to 90 minutes to get in by public transport (bus) and let´s be honest, not everybody can afford a 30 euro taxi fare. It´s a small airport and despite this smallness it takes ages to get your luggage. Let´s stick to the current setup (Tegel for business planes, Tempelhof for city hoppers and Schönefeld for the holiday charters) and everybody will be very happy. Berliners always complain SXF were too far away from the city, which is nonsense. So rather than bus, take the (aprox) 30min S-Bahn/train. The station is via the undercover walkway. At first I couldn’t see a ticket office – but in addition to the 2 automatic ticket machines, there are more ticket machines on the platforms. The S Bahn 9 takes you into the city centre in 20 minutes outside of rush hour. Buy a 3 Euro ticket. Be careful, you have to validate the ticket before going on to the train – the signs about this are poor – so many people knew nothing about this
