If memory serves me correctly, San Giovanni Rotondo is east Foggia near Mount Gargano. There are no main roads into that area. Every road west of Manfredonia is a coastal narrow two lane. If there is bus service it will probably come out of Foggia. I know that there is train service from Bari to Foggia or maybe even Manfredonia/Mattinata. When visiting cousins in Vieste (east of San Giovanni Rotondo)and Bari on the Adriatic, I have seen bus service to/from Foggia. Recommend that you take the train from Bari to Foggia then the SITA bus to San Giovanni Rotondo. type in: How to reach san giovanni rotondo in you search engine. Then scroll down to the following.
