hi tilts we average 39 hours a week.we are required to work shifts including weekends and nights.I do a week of nights every 6 months followed by a week off and 1 weekend in 3. A main shift is 7:30 to 17:15 then we have the dreaded A shift 7:30 to 21:00 a late shift 12:30 to 21:00 and an early 7:30 to 12:30 and my fav the rest day when I spend time with my lovely son and girlfreind.the week can consist of any combo of these shifts some weeks are longer than others and some prisons work every other weekend or 1 in 4.
