Is there a bolt action .30-06 rifle in a long and heavy barrel??
Any competent gunsmith can re-barrel almost any rifle with an aftermarket barrel of your choice. I have a rifle with a fluted Douglas barrel on it. The diameter of the barrel is an inch and a quarter, no taper at all. The rifle started as a used Remington 700 in a 7mm magnum. It is now a 300 Winchester magnum. It has a aftermarket stock too, a McMillan. If you buy a used Remington in a .270, 30-06, 25-06, (and maybe a few others) the bolt face will fit the rim and the action will be long enough to fit the 30-06 cartridge. Then you find a gunsmith who will pull off your old barrel, and install the new barrel with the dimensions of your choosing. You will also need to fit the new barrel to your old stock, or buy an aftermarket stock. Be prepared to spend a good chunk of cash if you choose a barrel that needs a lot of lathe work. Here’s a link to a page that shows the different contours of barrels you can get.
