Is there a best time of the day to workout?
I would say it’s best to work out at the time that you feel most motivated to work out. If you’re not a morning person and try to do morning workouts, that will be one more barrier to exercising on a regular basis. There is no evidence as far as I know that working out at a different time of day gives you any advantage. The only thing I’ve ever heard on the subject is that there is a slight elevation of risk of heart related symptoms during early morning workouts because of higher levels of adrenaline. But only a very slight increase. I would say work out at the time you enjoy working out with the most, that will make it easier to make it part of your regular routine.
