Is theft from cars or condos a problem in Maui?
We personally have never had a problem with any theft from our car or condo in Maui, however there are some problems that do occur. As signs around say, “There are thieves in paradise.”, so caution is always in order. In particular never leave items of value in open sight in a parked car, especially if you’re out in remote areas of the island. Also don’t wait until you get to your destination to move valuables into the trunk, as someone may be watching.
