Is Theatre Manager robust enough to run through a VPN style network. What happens when packets are dropped?
• The same thing when packets are dropped in a local area network (LAN). The OS requests and waits for the packets to be resent. Theatre Manager is totally reliant on the file services of the OS. • If data isn’t sent when asked, or a packet is lost and requested to be resent but isn’t you end up getting the disk share (Macintosh) or net work connection (PC) lost. Theatre Manager hangs and you do ctrl-alt-delete to force out of it unless the network comes back up.
