Is the young Mr Bismarck Princess Beas new beau?
When you go out with a princess, it’s a fair bet her ancestors will be more famous than yours. But when Princess Beatrice stepped out at a society party, the boy holding her hand came from equally good stock. Nikolai Bismarck, 17, is the great great grandson of Prince Otto Von Bismarck, the Iron Chancellor of Prussia who turned his country into the unified Germany in the 19th century. Across the Channel, Beatrice’s great great great grandmother Queen Victoria was on the British throne. On Tuesday their descendants spent the evening together at a Mayfair party thrown by society jeweller Theo Fennell. Romance denied Suggestions of a romance have been denied but Nikolai held hands with 16-year-old Beatrice, who is fifth in line to the throne, and the pair were described as “inseparable”.
