The WPP is open to all Jewish educators with a track record of success and strong Hebrew skills. To qualify for the program, candidates must be teaching or working for at least 10 hours per week in an educational setting. In the first year of the program, all students are required to be teaching 10 hours per week. This requirement is part of the teaching internship practicum, which includes clinical supervision by master teachers. If a student cannot fulfill this teaching requirement in its entirety, then s/he can continue teaching during the second year of the program to meet her/his obligation. In other words, if a student can only teach for 5 weekly hours in the first year, then s/he is required to teach for 5 more weekly hours during the course of the second year to meet the demands of the teaching internship practicum.
