Is the World-Economic System and the Global Ecosystem Decoupling?
A Cross-National Panel Study of Three Measures of Carbon Dioxide Emissions, 1960-2005 Andrew Jorgenson conducts theoretically derived research on the human dimensions of global environmental change. In this work he considers the structural and institutional characteristics of societies as well as how ecological conditions partially shape society/nature relationships. Besides ongoing research on the social foundations of environmental change, Andrew is involved in collaborative research on the structural determinants of domestic income inequality and multilevel analyses of the impacts of global integration on individual attitudes about the environment.
