NBC still hasn’t officially canceled Lipstick Jungle, but at least one of its stars is moving on. Lindsay Price has been cast as one of the witches in ABC’s drama pilot Eastwick, about young witches experimenting with their powers. The drama pilot is based on the 1987 movie The Witches of Eastwick, which is itself based on a John Updike novel. It appears the characters will be at least slightly different from either the book or the movie, though: Price’s character is named Joanna and is described as “a hard-working shy reporter for a local newspaper.” (Sukie, Michelle Pfeiffer’s character in the movie, was also a newspaper reporter.) Price is the second of the three witches to be cast: Jaime Ray Newman was previously hired to play Kat, a “good-natured nurse” and mother of five. Of all the Lipstick ladies, Price (and her character, Victory), grew the most on me over the course of the series.
