A. Yes, donations made to educational and non-profit organizations are tax deductible. If you need a receipt for your tax return, our treasurer, Iben Wilson (iswilson@ucdavis.edu) will make a standard form available with the amount donated.CLARIFICATION: In response to last week’s Q&A on the Computer Lab, which included the statement, “Essentially District staff have told us that they will not put any time and money into maintaining our equipment,” Tahir Ahad, Deputy Superintendent of Business Services for the District, offers the following clarification, “District staff told Willett in early 2000 that the district would not support Macs. We recommended against [purchasing them]. The school chose not to follow the advice and [the District approved their purchase of Macs] with an assurance from the school that school staff understood that there would not be any expectation of District support.” We thank Mr. Ahad for following-up with us.
